You’ve Read the Book — Now See the Actual 1973 Pasadena PD Investigation File
The Official 181-Page Pasadena Police Department Companion Resource is Now Available
Over the past several years, many of you have followed my research into the Houston Mass Murders case through my book and the ongoing serial investigation. Your support and questions have been greatly appreciated.
As I continue working through the series (and yes, Serial 6 is in the works), I’ve spent considerable time returning to the original source material. Today I’m excited to finally release something I’ve wanted to make available for a long time: the official Pasadena Police Department Investigation File (August 1973) as a curated companion resource.
This is not another retelling or narrative. It is the actual 181-page working investigation file used by Pasadena PD detectives in 1973. I have carefully organized it with a clickable table of contents, logical sequencing, section dividers, and grouped photographs to make it far more usable for anyone wanting to examine the raw evidence.
Inside you’ll find original reports, diagrams, statements, evidence logs, and the critical roadmap that guided investigators to the victims.
For those following my work closely, this file has already proven valuable. It allowed me to:
Correct a decades-old error identifying victim Michael Baulch (Serial Part 1)
Corroborate Elmer Wayne Henley’s statement on where Mark Scott (another misidentified victim) was truly buried (Serial Part 4) — something I was able to confirm after interviewing him in person
Uncover two more misidentified victims whose records remain uncorrected by the state (Serial Part 3)
If you’ve read Houston Mass Murders – 1973: A True Crime Narrative or any of the Serial Investigation parts and ever wished you could look at the same primary documents I use, this is the companion resource I built for readers like you.
